15x21 Hardcore Pro Saint-Cloud Plein Air Canvas Panel #HD-1521

True 7:5 Photography Proportion - 15x21 Size

Another widely used proportion in photography is the 7:5 aspect ratio, but is relatively uncommon in art, save for the 5x7 size. It is commonly accepted as a pleasing proportion. Some artists choose this proportion to add visual interest by breaking away from more traditional shaped canvas sizes. There are only a handful of standard canvas sizes in this ratio, but there are a whole collection of (what we call) Lost Sizes in this aspect ratio, which are often unknown sizes that add intrigue to the final composition.

This primer contains premium-grade Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) white pigment, renowned for its exceptional performance in acrylic priming. This quality ensures that artworks retain their integrity and will stand the test of time.

Our Hardcore™ Pro Pro Canvas Panels are the flattest on the market. They are made using MDF (medium density fiberboard) which is the highest quality engineered wood board on the market. Moisture in the board can cause undesirable results to the panel and your artwork, which is why we size the board with four layers on the front before the canvas is mounted, thereby defending against moisture getting into the board and underneath your artwork.

Canvas Panels should be as flat as possible, otherwise, they don't display well in a frame, and can create spaces between the artwork and the frame. A bowed panel is also a sign of having been impacted by the effect of moisture. Canvas can shrink, even after it is mounted on the board. For this reason, Masterpiece® developed a unique proprietary process that stress-relieves each panel, thereby virtually eliminating the bow that is commonly found in competing panel products. Hardcore™ Pro Canvas Panels provide a stable foundation for your art.

Rome is not outside me, but inside me. Her feverish sweetness, her tragic countryside, her own beauty and harmony, all these are mine, for my thought and my work. ♦ Amadeo Modigliani

Amadeo Modigliani, an Italian painter and sculptor, found a deep personal connection with Rome, a city teeming with history, passion, and an undeniable aesthetic allure. Instead of seeing Rome as a mere external landscape, Modigliani internalized its essence, allowing the city to shape his inner world and, by extension, his artwork. Such is the profound relationship between an artist and the places that move them.

For many, a specific location becomes more than just a physical space—it becomes a wellspring of inspiration, a muse. As artists, we find that certain places speak to our souls, influencing our perspectives and permeating our work. The challenge is to truly absorb these environments, to let them seep into our very beings, so they can shine through in every brushstroke or chisel mark. Modigliani teaches us that embracing a place's spirit can enrich not only our understanding of it but also the depth and meaning of our creations.
