5x15 Hardcore Pro Versailles Plein Air Canvas Panel #HL-0515

True 3:1 Panorama Proportion - 5x15 Size

This 5x15 Panorama size is popular for cinema and for art.

The 3:1 Panorama a proportion is preferred by many artists who require a super wide compositional format. Of course, this proportion is popularized by photographers and cinematographers, for ultra landscape and wide angled imagery that creates a sense of scope and grandeur in a scene, like cityscapes, ocean and mountain scenes, and scenes with expansive horizons. It is described as a polyomino proportion on the order of 3 or triple-square proportion. There are several common Panorama sizes in this 3:1 aspect ratio that you will recognize, and some are intriguing custom sizes, as well.

Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) Primer Pigment

This primer contains premium-grade Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) white pigment, renowned for its exceptional performance for oil priming. Its standout feature is its enduring whiteness, coupled with remarkable flexibility that persists over time. In contrast to other pigments such as zinc dioxide, Titanium Dioxide maintains its resilience, preventing brittleness as it ages. This quality ensures that artworks retain their integrity and will stand the test of time.

Our Hardcore™ Pro Pro Canvas Panels are the flattest on the market. They are made using MDF (medium density fiberboard) which is the highest quality engineered wood board on the market. Moisture in the board can cause undesirable results to the panel and your artwork, which is why we size the board with four layers on the front before the canvas is mounted, thereby defending against moisture getting into the board and underneath your artwork.

Canvas Panels should be as flat as possible, otherwise, they don't display well in a frame, and can create spaces between the artwork and the frame. A bowed panel is also a sign of having been impacted by the effect of moisture. Canvas can shrink, even after it is mounted on the board. For this reason, Masterpiece® developed a unique proprietary process that stress-relieves each panel, thereby virtually eliminating the bow that is commonly found in competing panel products. Hardcore™ Pro Canvas Panels provide a stable foundation for your art.

One eye sees, the other feels. ♦ Paul Klee

Paul Klee, a pioneering figure in the world of modern art, often ventured beyond the visible realm, delving into the abstract and the profound. This sentiment captures the duality of perception, suggesting that true understanding goes beyond mere visual observation. For Klee, art was not just a representation of the external world but an exploration of inner emotions and sensations.

Artists often find themselves at this intersection of objective observation and subjective emotion. A simple brushstroke can capture a fleeting moment, while a particular shade of color can evoke a deep-seated memory or feeling. Klee's words remind us that to truly appreciate or create art, we must engage both our eyes: one to observe the intricacies and details, and the other to connect on an emotional level.

For us, the essence of this quote lies in the realization that our creations are not just reflections of the world around us, but also of our innermost thoughts and emotions. It's a call to look beyond the surface, to feel the weight of our experiences, and to convey them through our art. In doing so, we offer viewers a glimpse into our souls, inviting them to see and, more importantly, to feel alongside us.
