True Golden Mean Proportion - 15x24 Size

This 15x24 size is one of our Golden Mean sizes, considered the most pleasing shape to the eye!

The Golden Ratio, also known as the Golden Mean or Divine Proportion, is considered the most aesthetically pleasing proportion to the human eye. Used in art and architecture for thousands of years, countless examples can be found in nature, plant life, galaxies, and the human body. It is often used as a guide to arrange your subjects on the canvas in concert with other Golden Mean shapes like an ellipse, star, triangle, and spiral, resulting in intriguing compositions. Many famous artists, such as Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Mondrian, Botticelli, Dali, and Seurat, have used this proportion in their art, and many contemporary artists continue to use it exclusively. If you're looking for a challenge or some inspiration, consider using a canvas in the proportion of the Golden Mean to create compositions that come alive in the most intriguing and eye-catching ways!

Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) Primer Pigment

This primer contains premium-grade Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) white pigment, renowned for its exceptional performance for oil priming. Its standout feature is its enduring whiteness, coupled with remarkable flexibility that persists over time. In contrast to other pigments such as zinc dioxide, Titanium Dioxide maintains its resilience, preventing brittleness as it ages. This quality ensures that artworks retain their integrity and will stand the test of time.

Our Hardcore™ Pro Pro Canvas Panels are the flattest on the market. They are made using MDF (medium density fiberboard) which is the highest quality engineered wood board on the market. Moisture in the board can cause undesirable results to the panel and your artwork, which is why we size the board with four layers on the front before the canvas is mounted, thereby defending against moisture getting into the board and underneath your artwork.

Canvas Panels should be as flat as possible, otherwise, they don't display well in a frame, and can create spaces between the artwork and the frame. A bowed panel is also a sign of having been impacted by the effect of moisture. Canvas can shrink, even after it is mounted on the board. For this reason, Masterpiece® developed a unique proprietary process that stress-relieves each panel, thereby virtually eliminating the bow that is commonly found in competing panel products. Hardcore™ Pro Canvas Panels provide a stable foundation for your art.

You must trust and believe in people, or life becomes impossible. ♦ Anton Chekhov

Anton Chekhov, a masterful Russian playwright and short story writer, held a mirror to society, capturing its nuances, intricacies, and the human condition with rare sensitivity. His characters, whether from a melancholic short story or a profound play, encapsulated the complexities of human nature. Within this quote, Chekhov offers a truth that is both simple and profound. Trust, he posits, is not just a virtue, but a necessity for life.

In the realm of art, trust plays a pivotal role. When artists lay down colors on a canvas, we place our faith in the strokes, believing that our vision will translate. We trust our audience to engage, to interpret, and to connect with our creations. Moreover, collaboration is inherent to many artistic ventures. Whether it's a collective exhibition or a joint project, it requires mutual trust and a shared belief in each other's capabilities. Without this foundation, the synergy and harmony that define artistic partnerships would be unattainable.

Indeed, life and art are intertwined in this essential truth: Without trust, without belief in the potential of others and ourselves, the tapestry of human experiences would be far less vibrant and meaningful.
