Each Artfix canvas is a masterpiece of preparation, beginning with up to two layers of specially formulated collagen and acrylic copolymer sizing. This essential process safeguards the canvas from the acidic elements in primers and paints, ensuring longevity and durability. Following this, the canvases receive between one and six layers of either oil-based or acrylic universal primer, making them versatile for various artistic mediums and techniques.

The "C" in the style name signifies an oil-primed canvas, tailored specifically for oils, alkyds, and water miscible paints. For optimal results, flash the surface with turpentine or mineral spirits, which cleans and prepares the surface for your paints, assuring you have a completely ready-to-paint oil prepared ground. The natural oils in linen contribute to its longevity, preventing disintegration over time. Additionally, the impenetrable ground serves as a barrier, preventing oil paint from seeping through and damaging the canvas.
